Your PURPOSE should never out live you. You should outlive your PURPOSE. If you do, when it is your time to depart this life you have completed your mission and finished your business. I believe that each day should be lived to our fullest potential. Anything short of that is cheating the world of what we can become and the contributions we can offer to our environment. Life is too short to waste it on living beneath our greatest potential and PURPOSE God has called on our lives. Be Blessed! Be Encouraged! Be Inspired!

After reading your article I am reminded of an illustration I once saw at leadership conference many years ago. The speaker was talking about direction and identified a path before him. He then explained how the slightest change in direction, which at the starting point may be almost too small to notice, could drastically change the end point. Each of our actions is significant and will impact our lives one way or another. It’s important that we are constantly evaluating and letting everything we do be done with intent. It can be so easy to let life just happen sometimes, but it is living with a purpose that will cause us to find fulfillment in knowing that we have made a positive impact.

I often worry about how my life my have been wasted away doing nothing. I know how man feel in this instance. I only want to grow now and just live life. Creating a purpose and a legacy is the beginning, keeping it going is the struggle, but that’s only if we decide to make it a struggle.

Great post as always Shannon. Many people take for granted what life is all about. Many tend to waste their days doing nothing, instead get out in the world, have fun, meet people and so on. I have lived with the mentality that life is short, and it’s best to have as much fun as one can have before that day finally does come.

Thanks for reading Anna. Yes, life is too short to live beneath our purpose. Explore the world and make a meaningful contribution I say. Do read again.

I agree that we should definitely strive to outlive our purpose as then we have finished what we were brought into the world to do. It brings a satisfaction and balance to the world order. But I think it is also important that we know what our purpose is – many do not.
I think that we are all intended to help others in some way or another and finding out what makes the happiest and doing that in our life should be what our purpose is.

Chantelle,
I could not agree with you more. We are in a time where it appears that most people are so self absorbed to where they have no concerns other than for themselves. I find splice in helping and encouraging others so much so, that I in turn feel blessed. Yes, people sometimes do find difficulty in knowing their purpose. This is sometimes due to them being clouded with life’s struggles. It is sometimes hard to see past today’s hurt and pain. Once we realize that God is in complete control, the rest is easy. “He is a lamp unto our feet and a light to our path” guiding us to our purpose and His plan for our lives. Thank you for your comment and for reading my post. Be blessed to know and outlive your purpose.

Hello Shannon,
Again, what a wonderful message! I seem to relate to pretty all of them. It’s like you are reading my mind. I felt slightly guilty reading your message. I feel like I am wasting my time chasing the highest paying Job to ensure that I can pay my bills and keep my head above the water. The issue with this is I am not happy and I am not content. I find that I am happier when I am helping others. I really hate a job that requires me to sit behind a computer all day 8 hours a day without communicating with people. I know this because when I worked behind a desk I fell asleep often and never completed my assignment according to my plan and goals. When I worked when I was helping or interacting with people I was happy and energetic throughout the day. I say that to say this. God has a plan and a job for each of us , we may not all be called to be the president, commander in chief or any other glorified job title. But whatever our job title it is because of our purpose for being here.
